Job Description:

We're currently hiring for a DATABASE/PHP PROGRAMMER POSITION. We are aiming high with a broad base of strengths that our ideal candidate would encompass. We look at both technical and interpersonal skills and both are equally important.

Things that we would consider "nice" (as opposed to "must") would include: knowing the way around Unix/Linux as well as familiarity with Content Management (CMS) websites. Knowing anything about XML and the newer XHTML standards is important as is knowledge of table-less designs.

On the side of personality, our standards are just has high. Our ideal candidate is easy to get along with and can take a lot of teasing (we can be merciless here at times). They know that team has no "i" in it but at the same time are able to light their own fire and look after themselves. They love to learn. They can be counted on to do what they say and can manage their time effectively.

Requirements:

• Experience in designing, creating and implementing web-based programmed applications. Not a person who programs out of a box or from free scripts though must have some knowledge of these.
• PHP Knowledge plus other usable languages - CSS, HTML, aware of XHTML standards.
• Experience in analyzing and recommending appropriate web servers, application servers, and database engines to meet specific clients requirements.
• Responsible to design, model and create client databases using MySQL. Plus good database planning skills/knowledge.
• Responsible for proactive use and development of PHP and other interface solutions.
• Aware of trends in the industry, specifically in regards to industry standard web base technologies.
• Familiar in HTML coding and design layout. Must be proficient at CSS tableless designs.
• Maintaining high availability and scalability
• Complete necessary and thorough QA on own work and for others.
• Support the business goals and objectives for the company.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate project schedule and provide detailed billing records.
• Proactive in making recommendations and carrying them out for all web related issues/projects.
• Willingness to learn new skills and continually update knowledge base.
